THERE WILL BE SIX CATEGORIES IN WHICH YOUR TEAM OF FOUR MAX CAN PARTICIPATE:
- Steak
- Ribs
- Chicken
- Sauce
- People's Choice
- Best Setup
There will be a grand prize winner which will be determined by the points earned from the steak, ribs, chicken, and sauce categories.
Your team can enter any of the categories.
Everything must be prepared and cooked on site, food will be inspected upon setup.
Turn in boxes will be provided and no garnish is allowed.
REQUIREMENTS FOR EACH CATEGORY:
- STEAK: Ribeye. Must be cooked to a minimum of medium rare, 130 degrees.
- RIBS: Spare Ribs. 8 ribs will be turned in. Sauce or no sauce, it’s up to you!
- CHICKEN: Completely up to you. Anything from drumsticks to half a chicken, just make sure it’s cooked to 165 degrees! If you're turning in thighs or legs there must be 8 pieces. If breasts, 2. If half a chicken, 1.
- SAUCE: Sweet, spicy, ketchup based, mustard based, vinegarbased, whatever you want!
- PEOPLE'S CHOICE: Come up with a knock your socks off, make your head spin, slap your momma, one bite piece of magic! We are expecting a large turnout so make sure you can make plenty of this to hand out an get the people’s vote. If you run out of your one bite make sure you have enough other food to wow the crowd!
- BEST SETUP: This is to help make this more fun than it already will be. Bring costumes, hand things out, hoot and holler, decorate your spot with a theme, whatever it takes to get the people’svote!
